In Tribute to Terre

We are all saddened to hear of the sudden passing of our dear KindSpring sister, Terre. She and I had gotten to know each other quite well as we happily discovered we had so much in common. She had spent some of her growing up years in the city where I have spent most of my life and she attended the same mid-school that my husband did, probably around the same time. And our family had visited her lovely city twice, several years ago. We emailed, posted, and replied back and forth about our many fond memories of the same restaurants, places, and events we had been to in each other's cities. There was even some talk about planning a meeting sometime in the future, after her cruise.

We will always remember her kind and loving spirit, her wonderful wisdom, and her humorous and delightful wit. She had such an inspirational, unique outlook on life that was absolutely contagious. She was her own person and a proud advocate for social justice.

Yesterday, I felt very drawn to be as near as I could to her memory. So I soon 
found myself at that mid-school she attended, sitting on a bench and looking
up at the sky. We often talked about how she loved the deep blue skies here
with their white puffy clouds. It was such a peaceful place and I certainly felt
her presence.

We thank Terre for all the loving support and kindness she so willingly shared with our KindSpring Community. One of her favorite songs was Cyndi Lauper's 'True Colors' which she posted about on August 4th, 2015. As it is one of my favorites, too, we talked a lot about the beauty in that song. Terre, we thank you for sharing your "true colors" with us. We were all certainly blessed by that, as well as your presence here at KindSpring. May you rest in Eternal Peace. And as I said in my last post to her as she was leaving for her  cruise, "Bon Voyage, dear Terre, Bon Voyage."
