Two plastic children's pools were dumped by the roadside, annoying the neighbors. I had just received an email from the wildlife hospital where I volunteer, asking for donated pools! I drove to the site and crammed them into my car. The hospital could only use one and I dreaded having to dispose of the other one. Then I remembered that next summer I will again be doing home care, raising orphaned raccoons for the hospital. So I took the other pool home and stored it, sure to make future rescued raccoons very happy!
