Stories of Kindness from Around the World

There is is certain comfort
and then not,
of riding the breezed green wave
of change.

When standing still
the momentum wants to bring
us forth,
to carry us in its maelstrom
of a crescendoing careen.

And why do we feel like a boat
without a rudder of direction,
treading water at an endless run?

Oh, the oars!
That's what we need place in the stream.
Our arms reaching out to balance and guide
through all challenging chopping tide,
the lessons learned to help balance life's ride.

If you are weighed down
and sinking
I'll throw you a tethered line
to keep you afloat,
for I know you'll do that same.

Strung together like pearls on a strand,
we shoulder and carry each other
always within sight of that manifesting kinder land.
