It was a warm, sunny Wednesday of August. I was at school, working for each class I had. I was patiently waiting to go home. When the classes ended, I stayed in the smelly classroom to finish an assignment. I was not the only one there of course. There were other four people and within them was my friend John who is a kid as thin as a toothpick.
John was really focused on finishing his work, he seemed to be really busy. After a little while he finished and left the classroom. I finished some minutes later and when I was about to leave I saw his phone sitting on the little, dirty and ray desk. I thought ' Wow, he must be as blind as a bat so that he leaves his phone here.'
I left the classroom and ran really fast so that he wouldn't leave without his phone. By the time I arrived to the entrance of the school it was already late. I started asking others if they had seen him and everyone told me that he was gone so I got worried.
After a little while his mom started phoning him... well me. I answered with a trembly voice ' Hello? ' and she said 'Who is this? '. At that point I got really nervous but I took a deep breath and told her what had happened. She told me ' I am as sure as death and taxes that he is in DAE '.
I thanked her for the help and hung up. I found John and gave him his phone. I told him to be more careful next time. He thanked me with a smile and I left.
