i've been picking up litter in my neighborhood and had a learning experience! i saw litter on the ground and realized that while i was picking it up, i was also silently judging (negatively) whoever would be so callous as to drop the litter in the first place! then, not 100 feet later, i see the trash can - not only is it overrun, but given it was a windy day, trash had blown around significantly. i realized what i picked up was probably the result of wind and an overfull trash bin, and reflected on how i can offer support without that residue of what others are doing 'wrong.' :)
