Day 7: Notice A Tiny Form Of Life

--by anupreet, posted Jun 23, 2017

I spent time looking at mosquito larvae. I am not so fond of mosquitoes, and often kill them. I am in two minds what should be done, if I let them fly around, they disturb my sleep. If I kill them I am not able to sleep peacefully.
Today I watched hundreds of to-be-mosquitoes. There was a little puddle of water, and they were breeding in it. I wasn’t able to have the heart to kill them, but wasn’t able to even have a lot of affection for them either.

Often I find easy to express gratitude to birds, bees, butterflies, but today I spent a moment expressing gratitude to the hundreds of mosquito larvae, which in some way are a crucial part of the web-of-life.
