Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Langauge Diversity

Last week I downloaded several apps and have begun my process of learning Spanish. My son is a member of a soccer Hispanic/Latino league in your community (even though he not) and most of the parents and some of the coaches only speak in Spanish during the games. I have picked up "soccer words" but I want to be able to understand and participate. Also, my "hobby" is Latin dance. Through this I have met a variety of different people and many of them speak Spanish. My friends will naturally speak Spanish to each other and I have no idea what they are talking about most of the time but I am getting better at understanding at least someone the topic -- unless they are on "warp speed Spanish" and in that case-- forget it! LOL . If nothing else, I want to learn to say certain phrases socially and have a general idea of what they are talking about. I am using my app everyday.
