I had the opportunity to encourage a colleague who is concerned about an upcoming job interview. She is automatically assuming she will not do well. Having interviewed hundreds of people over my long career I was able to reinforce the strengths she had that were related to the qualifications for the job. I wanted her to realize that she is as qualified as anyone else who is being called in for an interview.
