I did a number of things over the last few days. I bought a woman in line behind me at Dunkin Donuts her coffee. At first she wouldn't let me. How often do we first try to deny kindness? I persisted, and she finally let me. I bought Donna her coffee and lunch for her birthday. I filled out the survey for a restaurant and made sure to mention the waiter's name. It makes a big deal to them when they get mentioned. I let the YMCA know one of its machines need a repair, and they were so grateful. But because I waited a few days to post, I know I've forgotten things I did. This is why reviewing our day or tracking things matters so much. I remember much more of the tough parts of this week and not the kind parts. Very enlightening.
