Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Long ride. Phone fail. Supporting Family.

--by aibridges, posted Oct 1, 2014

My cousin put on a fundraising for his local school board campaign, so I decided to drive 75 minutes from my apt to go and support him. Unfortunately, his campaign had a rough start and several contacts cancelled. My rickety phone has a lot of problems, so I didn't get his phone call or text until I got to my destination. I called him and asked where everyone was. He said he tried to call and let me know about the situation. I told him all was well and that I came up to support him. He said he was very grateful. I turned back around and went home immediately. No matter the outcome it is always great to be there for family.
