Dropping Judgement/righteousness...'right Way, Wrong Way; My Way, Your Way'

My husband has been talking about us getting a dog which we could keep inside the house. 2 streetdogs have adopted us and they live inside our compound but don't come inside the house. Both he and my daughter have been looking up the internet and understanding different breeds and what would be a best fit for our family. I spoke to a friend who volunteers for taking care of injured dogs/strays and also works to have them adopted by families. she was suggesting that we wait and adopt one, rather than 'buy from a breeder'. when i suggested that to my husband, he was upset, as he had already set up to meet someone who had dogs. initially we disagreed on which way to move ahead. i held my view and he held his...and it did go a little downhill. then this 'adventure challenge' knocked me in my head. i struggled to let go of 'my view is right'...and let go. i thought to myself that what is meant for us will come to us...no need to hold on to 'my way is the right way'. i agreed to go with him and the kids to meet this person he'd contacted. And to my utter delight, we spent more that an hour playing with 4 of her lovely dogs. i found the 'breeder's' family loving and genuinely caring not just for dogs, but caring towards elderly people too. now she has invited my daughter to spend time with her and her dogs. she has also offered for my daughter to bring one of her dogs to our home for a few days! now a 'breeder' who was a 'bad breed' in my eyes has become my friend!
