Sometimes Big Things Comes In Small Packages

Day 7 came as a surprise for me to write a letter or note to someone. Recently, I’ve switched barbers and for some people including myself, that can take some time. After trying out some barbers here and there, I found the one! His name is Gerson from "people's Barbers" in SF. the last time I went to get a cut, he didn't look like himself and since I don’t like awkward silence, I asked him what's going on? He then explained his situations and the pressures he was experiencing in life. I'm not going to get into details about it, but let’s just say he was going through some deep things. After the haircut, I was thinking what can I do to help the guy...Later that evening I decided to write a card to him and have it mailed.
I got my haircut last night and saw him for the first time in 2 weeks. The moment he saw me, he gave the biggest hug and said, "you have no idea what that card meant to me" he then later mentioned, he needed some encouragement and that card came at the right time he needed it most. I started to tear up as I was getting my haircut which only happened when I was 4 getting a "bowl cut" after the session, we both made it a promise to not hesitate to call, text, or visit each other if we both needed help.
Something simple as a card can impact so much!
