Fellow colleague picked up ashes of her dear dog this morning.
Greeted her with a huge ((((hug))) and later treated her to lunch.
She told me all about Piper; how the Boxer/Shepard mix came into the family, how they traveled across country together and how much she loved and misses her.
I had given colleague a card last week with a copy of the Rainbow Bridge poem in it and I think it helped open the dialogue for us today.
Blessings of comfort for those who mourn a beloved pet.
