Day Two: Being In The Now

I set a timer for 5 minutes and was going to just sit and be in the present during this time. To start with I noticed my posture was bad, then I listened for sounds and heard my cats water fountain, my neighbour putting her recycle out and my own breathing. But it didn't take long for me to find it difficult to just do nothing so I tried to be mindful walking across my living room, noticing the aches in my legs and how the floor felt, to light some incense, then I focused on the scent of it and how the smoke curled upwards. I kept thinking about all the things I need to get done but tried to just bring myself back to thinking about now. It's not easy!
