Small Act Of Kindness, From One Child To Another

On Saturday, as usual my granddaughter and I went out. We decided to go to the YMCA Sports Club and swim. As I was getting out of the car I noticed that my granddaughter, who is much faster than I am, was bending over in a small green space by the car. I asked her what she was doing. I thought maybe she had found something. To my surprise , she wasn't picking anything up but putting a small plastic gem down for a child to find.

This small act of kindness really warmed my heart. A couple of years ago I had asked her to do small acts of kindness with me but she didn't seem to want to do them with me very often . I thought she had stopped but as she explained every once in a while she would leave a small gift for a child on her own without anybody knowing. I am so proud of her.

Her Soul Sang Through

Today, as on most Saturdays my granddaughter and I went swimming at the Y.M.C.A. While we were there a gentleman came in with his daughter who was blind.

They played in the pool for awhile then came to the the hot tub where my granddaughter and I were resting. After a few minutes we heard this beautiful voice singing "What a Wonderful World." The pitch was perfect, the timing wonderful . It was the little girl singing. She sang a couple of other songs then they left. I hope they come back and we have the pleasure of hearing her sing again. It was such beautiful a surprise.

Every morning after I drop my granddaughter off at school I stop at McDonald's for 2 coffee. Sometimes I will start a pay it forward line but this morning I was the recipient of one. It made me fell extremely good. So thank you for your kindness. To keep the good feelings going I kept the pay it forward going.
