Letters to Brighten the Day!

--by AnnC, posted Dec 29, 2015
According to my Special Days Calendar, December 7th was Letter Writing Day. But everyday is a perfect day to send a hand written letter and brighten someone's day.

Here are a few reasons you should send out a letter today. Or even better - get in the habit of regularly sending out letters!)
Letters are tangible and can be kept to be read and re-read
Handwriting is personal.
Mail makes everyone smile.
Writing a letter shows you took the time.

AndiCas wrote: I am afraid that my handwriting is so abysmal that I tend to handwrite only very short notes. I do type letters though, and this has the advantage that I can make it twice as chatty because I can type faster than I write, then tweak and personalise and send to multiple friends individually. I always handwrite the envelope and add a silly sticker though, that's what makes them stand out from the bills and circulars in the post box :)

I sometimes print carefully in a card, or I type something, print it and put that in the card. I want the recipient to be able to read what I'm saying. 8-)
