We parked in a parking lot and were approached by a french woman with fractured english asking if we could help jump start her car battery. I stated the same thing, that i had no cables and i wouldn't know how to connect them if i did. She said she had the cables and knew how to connect them. I gladly offered my rental car battery. In the meantime, my niece went down the street and got postcard-quality pictures of the cathedral. Just a note: that was one of the few times a french person was willing to speak english to us!
