What Is Love?

--by RoseMarie, posted Feb 26, 2016

What is love? Do we need a display of materialism to validate that we are loved? Do we need spoken words? Well of course we don't.

Today my 19 year old daughter sent me a text to say she loved me. She has a boyfriend, her first.  While this is an important milestone for her, I am so deeply touched that her love today is not exclusively for him.

I experienced even more love today on my way to the supermarket.  I noticed an elderly man tying his wife's shoelace. An act of love between two people who have spent many years together.

If you did not receive a material display of love today, try and stand back and look with fresh eyes at the unspoken, heartfelt love which really validates you every other day of the week.

This is priceless in more ways than one my dear friends. X 💓 Rose-Marie
