Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Jump Start Of Kindness!

--by kperrine, posted Jul 26, 2016
Yesterday when I came out to my car in the store's parking lot there was a man on a motorcycle looking very upset. He just got a new battery for his bike and no matter what he did, the bike would not start. He approached me and asked if I had jumper cables. Of course, I did! (thanks Rich!) He asked me if I would give him a jump. I was happy to.

He rolled the heavy bike over to my car and hooked up the cables and it started instantly. The man was your typical Harley biker with piercings, tattoos galore, and a burly look. To me, I saw his kind eyes. He told me that he approached several people for help and no one was willing to help. They said they were in a hurry.

This took 10 minutes out of my day for cheshire cat smiles. He was very grateful and handed me a $10 bill. I told him thank you, but please pay it forward instead. He said he definitely will help someone out.

Never judge the person....only judge their heart!

PIZZA WINS AGAIN!

Later in the day......

I went to return something to a store and saw the lights were not on. It was supposed to be open. There was only one store clerk inside and she could not open up until the second person came in. Lots of people waiting to get in. There was a young mother with a 5-year-old who was saying "Mommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I'm hungry!!!" I knew it would be a wait until the other clerk arrived. I was speaking to the mother, Jade, and said come with me. We went into my favorite pizza shop and ordered pizza and soda, my treat. The little child was so happy and we had such a nice time getting to know each other.

We finished eating and the store was opened!

Food and a new friend...Life is Great!

Kathleen wrote: The story of the biker gentleman hit home for me. I am a female safety manager for a construction management company. During an safety orientation session one morning for 9 ironworkers; in my head i pre-judged a biker/ironworker. (some what negatively) during our short time working together (35 days); he is one of my favorite team players. Turns out that by interacting with him on a daily bases he shared with me that he played jesus in the passion of christ at his local church for 6 years. It is now a gentle reminder to me everyday that god is everywhere!
