Roses And Lilies For Charlotte

--by RoseMarie , posted Mar 1, 2017

Well good old synchonicity yet again! Yesterday I committed to visit Charlotte and give her a red rose for Valentine's Day. Unfortunately that didn't happen as yesterday was hectic. Today though I was driving to the shop and there was Charlotte having a walk on the main road. She was almost at her supported dwelling so I turned into the Fold and was going to wait for her. I picked up the rose, awh, it was a bit forlorn looking. There's no way I could have given this to Charlotte. I decided to just go to the shop but Charlotte had arrived at the turn into the road to her supported housing. She stopped me and asked who I'd been visiting and then brought me back to her flat.

In previous conversations Charlotte has told me she visits the 'elderly' in a nursing home. Today she told me she volunteers with 'Help the Aged' two days per week. She makes sure all the 'elderly' have their seat belts on when they are in the minibus and when she gets to their club, she makes the tea for them. She leaves the house at 9.00 am and doesn't get home until about 4.30 pm. Charlotte has been doing this for over 20 years!

I am in total awe of Charlotte! What a gal! Her 2 daughters were coming to have tea with her tonight, they bring in takeaway and she alternates visiting them on Sundays. While I was there one of her daughters rang her and chatted to her. I was touched by Charlotte who certainly doesn't appear to be lonely.

Before I left she showed me how to ring the bell for her flat. I went to the shop as was scheduled and this bouquet was sitting amidst the red roses, the only bouquet which was not red roses. It was calling Charlotte's name. I bought them and called by to give them to Charlotte.

Funny, yesterday I gifted roses and a lily and  today I laughed when I noticed the description on this bouquet, lilies and roses. Incidentally, a KindSpring member gifted me lilies and roses after my surgery. The Universe always speaks and I'm so glad I listen.
