Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Effective Recycling

--by nages.sieslack, posted Oct 22, 2015
My son is diabetic type 1 and he receives his insulin ampules from an online pharmacy. They come packed in thermal bags. These bags are expensive and to send them back, the postage is costly. As I didn't have the heart to throw them away either, I kept collecting them.

So today we took a total of 10 bags to a pharmacy in our neighborhood to check if they would want them. The pharmacist on duty was surprised and happy to receive the bunch of bags for free which they can use to ship their orders.

I always feel glad when my son is directly involved in such interactions.
