4: See Through A Lens Of Love

There are two kinds of fears; those that keep you alive and those that keep you from living. --Rusty Wells

See Through A Lens Of Love: The coronavirus pandemic is undeniably a time of instability. In such circumstances, fear is a natural response. However, the lens of fear often distorts what you see. It can amplify the negative, exaggerate threats, and filter out more neutral or favorable outcomes, and even cause you to compromise your core values. When fear is not tended to, life energy is lost to dread as the body tenses up and the heart closes in anticipation of an unknown future. One antidote to fear is loving-kindness, wishing for the well-being of yourself and others. Today, proactively practice seeing from a lens of love. When we see our invisible threads of interconnection through the eyes of love, we become less afraid of what awaits us. Consider trying the ancient practices of loving-kindness or prayer to support well being. Invite kids to join you, too! Or send notes to friends and family, telling them all the loving qualities you appreciate about them! Find ways to simply wish others well, and notice how it impacts you and those around you.
