The Éowyn Challenge
¤ ALL WELCOME! ¤
Walk on Earth, chart your miles on Middle-earth! The journey begins every year on 23 September (the day after Hobbit Day, 22 September, Bilbo’s and Frodo’s birthdays).
For this year's challenge, we start in Bag End and accompany Frodo and friends to Rivendell.
These milestones also include “The Journal of Samwise Gamgee,” * which he read to his daughter Elanor and passed down through generations in the Shire and beyond. Dassa Fleam of Buckland, one of Sam’s ancestors on his old Gaffer's side, saved one of the few written copies Elanor made for her family.
Milestone awards are given for every 50-mile increment traveled by any self-propelled movement on Earth. That includes walking, running, swimming, and biking. Avatars will be created upon request for all Middle-earth races!
