One of our long-time neighbors is a strong supporter of a certain “politician” that I find to be a truly horrifying & harmful person. I had found myself feeling rather unpleasant thoughts about our neighbor whenever I saw him & we once got into a heated discussion that was leading somewhere “unkind” 🤨. So, I knew I had to do a “reboot” , for both our sakes.
It worked....I focused on all the things I like about our neighbor & the kind things he’s done for us over the years, and I no longer feel triggered by the sight of him, lol. We have occasional mellow chats & it was another lesson for me in the area of TOLERANCE. ✌ï¸
The moral thing I should wish to say… is very simple. I should say: love is wise, hatred is foolish. In this world, which is getting more and more closely interconnected, we have to learn to tolerate each other. We have to learn to put up with the fact that some people say things that we don’t like.
