Sacred Trees
Just like people trees come in all shapes and sizes. Each species has a purpose, some supply us with food, others with medicinal properties that heal and soothe us, and all go through a process that supplies the earth with oxygen. Have we ever laid our hands on the trunk of a large old tree and felt its life force flowing below our palms? A tree’s roots run deep beneath the soil, branching out reaching and extending just like the branches extending from the trunk into the air far above the earth. Have we ever stood beneath a tree and listened to the wind as it gently blew through its leaves, like a whispering voice. Trees are there, asking nothing of us, but to be left alone to do what they are meant to do. Each tree is unique, beautiful, majestic, and sacred and to be treasured for it what it gives us just by being alive. Please feel free to share, if you are so inspired. Picture taken by TC
