I host a monthly poetry circle that happens to be today. There are atleast three young poetry lovers who have called me amma and looked upon me as the mother figure over the course of these circles. I am grateful for the connection with the mother spirit that this offers. Also praying for my aunt today, mother's sister, called Maa-si in Hindi, which literally says Like-Mother, as she is hospitalized, far away physically but close to my heart, since she has been an inspiring role model of a strong kind woman all my life.
