Sense of Wonder
Each morning as we open our eyes we see the light filtering through the window coverings, it is the first light of a new day and we wonder at the possibilities the day will hold. A good morning hug shows us the wonder of loving another and being loved. Outside our door a spider has woven an intricate web into the shrubbery to catch its breakfast, so delicate and strong, a marvel to see. The sky above our heads and the soil beneath our feet connects us to heavens and the earth. The movement of the branches in the trees in a gentle breeze, a whisper of sound yet carries to our ears so clearly. The wonder of how the trees filter impurities from the air and returning oxygen so that we may breathe. At the end of each day the sun sets and soon we are bathed in the light of the moon and the stars; looking up we sit in wonder and awe at the beauty of the night sky. Opening our senses to the wonders that surround us brings the world into a whole new perspective. What wonders will we see today? Please feel free to share, if you are so inspired.
