I went for a short walk in the park this morning - partly because it's the closest to nature there is near here and partly because I'm going to the hospital this afternoon and I'll be doing a fair bit of walking in there as it's one of the largest hospitals in Europe. I've also been reading a book (readingisn't quite the right word because it includes meditations and reflections - it's called 'Earth, Our Original Monastery.'
During the walk i met one of my dog friends - Casper and he's a pug. There was a Yorkshire terrier who seemed to be with him and his owner. When I caught her up she explained she was looking after the other dog for a friend for three weeks. The Yorkshire terrier has so much energy and only arrived on Monday and Casper is already fed up because he likes to take a stately walk around the park and she wants to rush everywhere! Eventually, Casper got to me without the other dog and we had our normal cuddle!
I think there's a reflection in there - there are times when we want to run, jump and dance and others when a stately walk is best!
