Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Day 12 - The Waxing Moon

--by DotMatrix, posted Oct 4, 2022

PLANET EARTH
The waxing moon always makes me happy because I know he is on his way back to fullness. It also reminds me that darkness always comes, but so does light.

SRAOK
(small random act of kindness)

"If someday the moon calls you by your name don't be surprised, because every night I tell her about you."
-Shahrazad al-Khalij

MIDDLE EARTH

1333 steps = 0.63 miles
25* minutes UBWO (5/25) = 5.1/60×25 =
*This took more like 40m because I’m really sore so I was doing it very slowly; 2-minute rest between sets

2.76 miles/28.62 total

SPIRIT ANIMAL TEST
According to the test, my spirit animal is a leopard:

“Leopards stay silent and hidden until the last moment of attack. The leopard has strong intuition and heightened consciousness. This totem reminds you to trust your own visions, intuitions, and intimations of things.

“Leopards live in the mountains and can be seen as divine symbols of conquering one’s inner demons. They are solitary and secretive and blend into their surroundings well.”

GRATITUDES
I already listed the animals in our yard in my gratitude a few days ago. Today I’ll list animals I’ve loved over the years. 1-Bloop (my first pet, a goldfish). 2-Pickle (kitty pet for a short time until I had to give him away) 3-Mademoiselle Blue Moon or Blue for short (my bio-dad’s Belgian Shepard) 4-Czarina (high school bf’s Doberman) and 5-her sidekick, a sweet mutt whose name I’ve forgotten, 6-Rat (same bf’s cat) 7-Cubby (best friend’s guinea pig) 8-Scrufty, kids’ dog at their dad’s – found on the road, the most gentle beautiful dog I ever met; 9-Sputnik, my neurotic sweetie, the first dog I ever got to keep (I was 36); 10-Tigger and 11-Rowdy, my arctic wolf (now my true spirit animal since his death in 2000).
