It might not seem like a treat, but I did myself the favor of a flu shot. I am really frightened of needles and have to talk myself into it all. But for the sake of my future self, others around me, and my community, I got it. Then I bought cake!!
My favorite bit about St Nick is why he gifts under the cover of night. He is generous but doesn't need the credit or the glory. It feels good to give for the sake of giving.
