Kindness And Courage

"Kindness and Courage" Paradise Fire - Amazing Kindness to Seven Families

This is the story of an amazing kindness by a woman named Sandy who opened her home, one of the only ones to survive the fire, to seven families who have been staying with her since then.

It's also the story of Alex and his harrowing escape from the fire with his family. They almost didn't make it.

My own cousin made it out alive with his wife, but he had to be hospitalized. They lost literally everything. We sent as much as we could as soon as we heard.

I wanted to bring this to your attention, dear KS friends. I offered Gael (the author who wrote this blog and shared the stories) to send personalized cards (snail mail and digitally) on the birthdays of every member of every family in her home. And maybe there's more I can do. I didn't see a contact page, so I provided mine.

I'm sure there will be more ideas. Please let me know if you have any.

Quick update:
Due to privacy, Gael couldn't share names of the families at Sandy's which of course, now that I think of it, makes sense.  One of the other comments though listed a charity that helps directly in Paradise.
