A Lovely Note

'm giving 64 small gifts this year to celebrate my 64th birthday back in March. This is the third year. I won't detail them monthly anymore. But I wanted to share a lovely exchange with a volunteer named Sharon, who works here in the States for Sister Lucy. After my monthly gift, I got a personal email from Sharon. She thanked me and said my monthly gifts mean a lot. I wrote that I was happy to help and that Sister Lucy was my hero. She wrote that she felt the same. A few more notes were exchanged. It was a joy to share our love for this powerful, beautiful woman who changed so much with love. (And still does.) https://maherashram.org/

'tis The Season :)

arrived, including one that the USPS erroneously sent on a holiday across the UK (glad that one, which was classified as "missing" for several months, finally arrived!). The packages had more warm socks, sweets and treats, several other special requests that otherwise cannot be found in Ukraine, and a box of funfetti cake mix and a tub of sweet, sweet funfetti icing :) his daughter had a birthday recently and the cupcakes and special requests were most welcomed. United24, the official fundraising platform launched by President Zelenskyy, started a new fundraiser for Christmas: their goal of $1,000,000 USD is to purchase generators for schools so the children may study with light and heat (https://u24.gov.ua/bring-light-back). Happily donated, and sent the link on to

💕 It’s In The Little Things

ittle Things…. 🫶🏽 “ In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.” ~ Khalil Gibran Two of my neighbor-friends have birthdays this month, one on Valentine’s Day ❤️. I knew one of them liked a certain wine 🍷 so I surprised with a bottle & a birthday card. On Valentine’s Day I will drop off a little heart shaped box of chocolates with a card to my other friend on the block whom I’ve known for over 40 years. Little things 💕

Eternally Grateful

food, company (as I then learned she suffers from depression and has epilepsy). I've tried to be there for her as much as I could, even online while I am abroad. She has 2 relatively young good hearted children who are doing well at school and adore her. I'm now trying to find work for the eldest so he can have a little extra income while he (hopefully) continues his education. His 18 year old birthday was last week so I ordered a meal online and sent it to them to share with the family. They were so happy and grateful! They can't imagine how happy it makes ME!

Longtime Friends

ongtime friends will be coming over the end of March to help celebrate my husband’s 80th birthday. They are coming with their son (whom we’ve known since he was born) & his just turned 2 daughter. So I ordered this little toddler chair, shown in this picture, so she’ll have a place to sit & they can take it home with them. 🐶 I also have a little stuffed dog to give her. They tell me she loves stuffed animals and she hugs hers & talks to them :))) We have been friends for over 50 years. Looking forward to being together. ❤️

Knitting Tradition

nitting a baby jacket and bootees for a family member who is pregnant and lives in another state. Only met them this month at mother in law's 90th birthday. Mother in law usually knits something for her grandchildren to send them before their birth, but she is suffering from arthritis and cannot really accomplish making items, so I have made them and will drop them over to her over the weekend and she can post them on.. A bit of a joint effort that keeps her tradition alive.

Knitting And Bonding

esterday, I was at the knitting group in the communal lounge. One of the other members asked me about the pattern for the little comforter for premature babies. As a result we began talking to each other and discovered we have a lot in common as she was born in a town close to where I was born. Rachel who organises the activities has the same birthday as me, so I'm busy knitting a bag for her and when it's finished I'll post a picture here. This is the next comforter I've knitted and another one is on the way.

Unexpected Kindness

card changed Fatemah's life. I also told them intense positivity story where doctors had no hope for brain dead husband. His wife showed unwavering faith in God that saved his life. I rewarded the guests with a bunch of quote cards to share with others and Gujarati Positivity booklets that I have given away close to 800. I also gave 4 other books, Utthan-Umang handkerchiefs,  handmade Birthday cards and a cotton purse. I am thankful to Sri Sathya Sai Baba for sending opportunities on my way and helping and guiding me to manifest them. I am just His instrument in this regard. The image shows different quotes
