Hugging The Repair Man

Had to call a repair man for my oven. I was totally lost without it. He worked endlessly to find the problem and managed to save me money. We exchanged stories about life, sons, learning, technology through the hours he committed to fixing my oven. I got so joyous when it worked, I hugged him and gave him a big smile with my many thanks.I think he may have been somewhat embarrassed initially, but as he left he said his work is worth more than his paycheck as he gets to meet really special people. I may have been one.....Smiles!

Finding Gratitude for Mother Nature's Warmth

Today's weather was simply the best for this time of year in this part of the world. Too often, we are in below freezing temperatures and shoveling a feet or more of snow.  So my dog and I joined many others who spent time outside walking, riding a bike, skateboarding and just sitting in the glorious sun.

Being most thankful for the day's gorgeous climate, I extended my joy and thanks to the universe to everyone I met. Everyone responded with a smile and an appreciation of gratitude for the warmth and sun. Thank you universe.

Reminding a friend of their goodness

A friend who has been a bit down for the past few days called to share with me that she was taking a 91-year old mutual friend of ours out of the nursing home for a ride on Sunday. I quickly took the opportunity to reiterate to her what a huge kind and generous heart she has, as she is always doing good for others. I expressed my awe of her endless giving and my deep appreciation of her huge heart. She would not stop thanking me as her spirit became so joyous. Felt mighty good.
