Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Have Just Recently Re-discovered ...

Have just recently re-discovered Arthur C. Clarke, and a trilogy that I hadn't come across before, so that was nice to get back into some sci-fi.

Day 13.  Where would I go?
I'd visit Watership Down and be an extra rabbit on the run from the Chief Rabbit and his Owsla.
I'd visit the Hundred Acre Wood and wait by the bridge for Pooh and Piglet and Eeyore.
I'd take a back seat in the Time Machine with H.G.Wells and spin off to confront the Morlocks and see Weena and the Eloi once again.
I'd like to spend the day with Frog and Toad just chilling in their timeless manner, or follow Shardik through the woods with Kelderek.
I'd go on all sorts of adventures with Ash until finally fleeing to the Himalayas, and the safety of the 'Far Pavilions'.
I wonder if I could bear to stand the terrifying London of the War of the Worlds and the eerie death call, U-llla!
I'd love to see the old and the new worlds come together asd they did at the end of the Book of Koli and run away from Mythen Rood and be befriended by the AI Monono Awareh and see the Drudge and Ursula and Cup.I'd hide invisible with Gandalf the Grey at dawn and watch their foolishness as Tom, Bert and William, the three trolls as they turned to stone. And stowaway on board the Sophie and sail all around the world with Captain Jack Aubrey through all of the 20 novels.
I'd most certainly visit Tess of the D'Urbevilles and wouldn't it be a fantastic adventure to fall and rise again with the Count of Monte Cristo and find some sort of redemption? Finally, I'd go to France to see the story of Jean Valjean and the lovely Cosette evolve and blossom.  I think I could certainly linger there a while, thankfully, it is an awfully long book!

One book I'd love to re again would be LH Myers, The Near and the FarOh and the last book I read has been Silas Marner by George Eliot.  I loved it so much, a lot like a good Dickens and I'm looking forward now to Middlemarch.
