Our beautiful KindSpring community knows that everyday is World Kindness Day, but the world has chosen a special day to honor kindness - which is Nov. 13th.
Ever since finding a hOMe on KS (over 10 years ago!) I am continually encouraged, inspired and grateful for each post, comment, message and friendship.
You have been there for me through ups and downs and many middles. I may not post as much or spend as much time on KS as in the past, yet you are never far from my thoughts.
Kindness has become a part of me, like breathing. It isn’t anything exceptional or remarkable - it is just allowing the beauty of LOVE to flow through me to you and back around again - until we encompass the entire Universe.
Knowing it was World Kindness Day on Nov. 13th, I went out into my corner of the world, armed with Rajni quote cards, origami Peace Doves, an open heart and my smile. Luckily, we came in contact with many folks and just thinking about all the positive connections makes me smile all over again.
The absolute best part of the day was being able to donate a Little Mermaid doll (she sings too!) for the bookstore’s holiday toy drive!
Some little girl is going to be super thrilled to receive this special doll. I know I would be.
By giving to a child in need, I really am giving to myself. That’s the beautiful thing about kindness - giving is like receiving. Sometimes you are the giver and sometimes are the receiver. Either way, it is always a blessing.
