Chapter 22 is up if you are interested in this fictional (based on a true) chapter story I've been writing.

I did not like writing this chapter and getting inside this man's head, but I promised to finish this book despite the triggers. I am stronger now. I survived him, and (a bit of a spoiler) he will get his due in the end.

Just a note: The character of Jev combines my stalker/2nd ex-abuser and a serial killer I (may have) met and escaped from when I ran away from home at 14 with my step-sister. His name was Gerald Stano and he was executed in 1979. That's another story entirely. I've written that one too, but only as a first draft so far. This ^ needs to be finished. I started Her Angel on December 16, 1996, in my journal, the day the real Jev cleaned out my savings and checking account and fled the country -- for a while. I read it to my friends, and they made me promise to finish it. Is it still a promise kept, even 28 years later? I hope so.
