I am working on my bronze award for my Girlscouts.  It's the higest award you can work for as a junior Girlscout and it takes a lot of planning so it's a big big honor that I got permison from my parents and my scout leader.   

There are a lot of rules about what I can and can't do for the bronze award.  One big thing I can't do is raise money so I can't have any fund aisrs like I usually do.  There is a place here in my town called MOMS house -- it's a great place 'cause they take care of the babies of teenage mothers so that they can go to school and get a job to be able to take care of their children.  

My idea is to have a great big birthday party for the children that they take care of because their moms are so young and they don't have a lot of money.  After getting the Director's permission, I now have to plan it out.  I can't buy the things I need or raise money for them so starting tomorow after school I have to go to places and ask for donated items for the party.  Patty, who owns a bakery here in town, said she would donate a cake so thats cool.  I need to go to other local stores and hopefully I can get places to donate toys or outfits for the children to wear because they don't have much at all.

They are watching 12 children now and the smallist one is 18 months old and the oldest is 7 years old.  I want to get balloons and pretty tablecloths and noise makers and really cool party bags and make this the best party they ever ever had!
