Transformation from Taker to Giver

I used to be the kind of person who never gave to anyone. I would take, take, take. I used to think those people who gave in all the time or were so nice to people were 'weak.' I came from a very negative environment in my upbringing. In the last year I have had a BIG wake up call. I look back and can't believe I used to be the person I was. Boy, was I wrong. Those people who I thought were "weak" were, in reality, the luckiest people in the world. I have only started my new journey!

Last week I sent gratitude cards to some family members who have inspired me in my life. I also sponsored a soldier and sent him a letter. This week I put some special cards in the mail to some relatives that needed a 'pick me up' or who I was really grateful for. (I just picked up a bunch of different cards at the store, wasn't sure who to send them to, but it didn't take me long to figure it out.)

I don't know what has come over me, but I've completely turned around. I read a couple inspiring books and started meditating. I can't wait to do the next kind act!! I say thank you whenever I can and let others know that I appreciate them. I am so excited! I would like to do more for complete stangers and I would really like to meet someone who could use my help.
