Stories of Kindness from Around the World

May I Share My Blessing With You?

--by Kaige, posted Jun 7, 2016

My mom created a garden for me in my very own front yard. She planted beautiful, red Salvia and even mulched around them with nice red mulch. When she was done, everything was so transformed and lovely. I couldn't believe that she had done all of that just for me.

All day long I looked out of my front door and smiled at what a gift she had given me by the work of her own 2 little hands. I'm filled with gratitude when I reflect on all that she has done for me to show me that she cares for me and will be my shoulder in any and all situations. She's my stability in ways that she can't begin to imagine.

Each day I'll be able to see her effort flourish before my very eyes. She even planted flowers that will attract certain birds and butterflies ( one of my favorite creatures ). Though bouquets are rather nice, few people that I know can say that they have entire gardens grown for them. I'm blessed to say that I have 2.

When I was in the middle of my cancer treatment, she planted a garden for me outside of her home. She lives in Florida. This garden is pink, my favorite color. I smile now because as I think of it, I have a LOT of favorite things.

I appreciate my mom for touching the earth and encouraging it to come forth as a show of love for me. If I could give her a million smiles and 5 billion KarmaBucks, I most certainly would.

Mothers are our earth, the bountiful place from which love springs forth. I'm humbled by the truth that there is no love like the love of a mother. I send blessings to all the mothers that read this post and thank you to the mothers that created the children that make up my KindSpring family. Keep in mind that moms come in many many forms. I'm grateful for each and every one of them.

Because I've overdone a bit today, I am getting ready to snuggle down and fall asleep for the night. I'll carry positivity and thoughts of you into my slumber. I love you Springers. Good night.
