What's Making You Smile Today?

--by JeanieMarie, posted Oct 15, 2009

I heard this question several months ago and decided to make it my own. The question is,

"What's making YOU smile today?"

I was at the service desk in a department store and after the woman took care of my return, I asked her, "What's making YOU smile today?". I was very nervous saying this to her but decided to ‘take a risk’. She looked at me slightly surprised, she hesitated for just a few seconds, and then spent a good five minutes telling me about the wonderful weekend she had just spent camping with her family. She said that it was still making her smile on this grey Monday morning! Her response made ME smile.

I have now added the question to the end of my answering machine introduction. Without fail, everyone, leaving a message, has responded with either an answer or a chuckle! I get many smiles from it myself!

So, “What's making YOU smile today?"
