Lost Ring Comes Full Circle

I feel that I was blessed by an Angel not long ago. I was out in town with my husband. We live in a small town. Because of the cold, my finger shrunk, causing my anniversary ring to fall off. I didn't notice this until we got home. I became physically ill. I thought my husband was going to have a heart attack.

Yes, it is a material item but it is also a very sentimental item. He went out and retraced our steps. I called the stores we were in and no one turned it in. I thought it was gone for sure. Well, at around midnight last night, our dogs went nuts. We have a sunroom that attaches to our home. The door to that is usually locked. Apparently, we left it unlocked.

My all-terrain mobility scooter is parked out there. In its basket was a ring box...holding my ring! Along with the ring was a diamond band. It is a half size smaller than my ring.

There was also a note that told the story of this stranger finding the ring and recognizing the work, as it is a custom piece. The person then went to the jeweler and explained about finding the ring.

The jeweler is a friend of mine so she gave her my name and the town is so small, we are easy to find. The stranger who found the ring purchased the band in order to keep the ring in place when it is cold out. And then also left a gift card for us to take our family out to the movies as a Christmas gift. The note was signed... Santa's Elf. My friend is keeping her lips sealed about whom it was.
