Pat wrote: The gift of the coronavirus
In asheville, north carolina, the nextdoor on-line platform provides a way for neighbors to connect with each other on issues of interest or concern. When the seriousness of the covid-19 became clear, several people reached out, offering to help those who are more vulnerable. In response, dozens of others added their names, contact information and specific offers of help.
This reminded me that, no matter is happening in our lives, there is always a gift, whether we can see it in the moment or not. Through these acts of kindness, we are creating a more connected community, which will be stronger and more compassionate in the future as well.
