Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Hard Choice To Close Clinic - Right Thing To Do

--by SissyLee, posted Apr 6, 2020
The corona virus has hit home. Today I shuttered my acupuncture clinic for a period that is unknown. It could be  two or four weeks or more. It was a miserable decision for me.

People were still wanting to come in for their pain relief. I am healthy and they all seem to be, I had seated people 6 feet apart and wipe and have hand-washing orders in place. But is it worth the risk?

After watching clinic after clinic shut down, I decided to err on the side of 100% caution and to do no harm and to do my bit in helping to flatten the curve. It was the most painful act of kindness for me. I agonized over it for days. It seems so drastic to me,  but that is not what our friends in Italy would say. Stay strong, be well, my friends.

You did the wise thing in my opinion. We are just at the tip of the iceberg here in the States. Caution not misplaced, Sissy.
