Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Small Act Of Kindness by Little Girl

--by Christine88, posted Aug 11, 2020
Today I went to Tubac, Az. My favorite town. I was sitting outside but ended up sitting inside.

After a while, a family came in to get lemonade for them all to go, with two young girls, maybe 10 and 12.  The 12 year old had a pretty silk flower. I said "the flower is pretty. Did you just buy it?" She said yes. I asked the younger one, "Did you buy anything?" She said yes and showed me a pretty shiny beaded bracelet.

I said "Those are really pretty and shiny." Next thing I know, the younger one placed something on my table. $2 crumpled up. I asked "What is this for?" She said "Because I wanted to."

I almost started to cry. I said "Oh my gosh honey, that was so sweet of you. You remind me of myself."  Another lady sitting with her husband laughed in a good way. I said "How sweet huh?" She said it is.

I told the little girl's grandmother how sweet the girl's action was. She replied.. "You know, that's what we need in the world, a small act of kindness, a smile." She made my day. Thank you little girl.
