Connected From Bracelet To A Hug

--by mindyjourney, posted May 22, 2021
With only the bare necessities with us at the beach, I couldn’t find one Peace Dove to share with the woman sunbathing behind us.  Earlier, I had noticed an eclectic display of crystals and stones on a cloth near the bottom of her blanket, plus her meditation pose.

REALLY felt the nudge to connect, so as we were packing to leave, I slipped a bracelet off my wrist (had worn for a few years, given to me by KS friend Leolady) and handed it to her along with a Smile card.

“This is for you,” I said. “I usually give Peace Doves, but this is all I have to share. Love your crystals and noticed you meditating before…”

Surprised, she cupped her hands to her face and smiled, “You sure? Ohhh, thank you!”

We chatted over the seaside roar of the waves and wind. Discovered that her mother Elizabeth had passed 2 years ago and Cecilia was still dealing with the grief and loss. Unhappy with a toxic roommate situation, she was seeking direction and guidance during her meditation Monday beach ritual.

I assured her that the answers she was seeking were already within and on their way; that her mother was still near in heart (she agreed and showed me the angel charm she found just last night of her mom’s).

“May I hug you?” Cecilia asked, as she stood to say goodbye.

“Of course,” I replied. “I’m fully vaccinated.”

Such a big, long deep hug, it went right into my heart and lodged there. I think it had been a long time since Cecilia had shared a hug. As we separated and looked into each other’s eyes, I saw tears flowing from her eyes and down her cheeks.

“You’ll never know how much this means to me,” Cecelia said.

For me as well, dear Cecilia, for me as well. 🙏
