Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Happy New Year!

--by cabbage, posted Feb 10, 2023
We continued our family holiday tradition--baking, cooking and distributing everything to friends, neighbors and those in need. Christmas eve and new year's eve both fell on saturdays so got to have my boys helping me at the soup kitchen too--what a blessing!
We`ve also been able to give lots of treats to lots of folks. One person I don't know that well has been caregiving for a relative in the hospital so we have been bringing food for her each week. Each day we visited elderly friends, and checked in with those who are far away. We relished all the connections we have made over the years and talked to old friends.
Also, in our area it has been flooding so we are going to help fill sandbags for the next bout of storm coming this week. So thankful for nature---dug and planted potatoes, greens, and beans....right before the rains came.
I also wrote a card of gratitude to a relative and dropped a note to a nice lady in the neighborhood.
Wishing all of you a very happy, healthy and peaceful New Year! Sending lots of love to all. Gratitude for all of you and the kindness you spread in the world!
