Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Strangers No More!

❤️ The kindness of a stranger….

Yesterday a longtime friend we hadn’t seen in many years visited with us. She recently lost her husband of over 40 years & was getting herself out in the world, visiting friends & some family she hadn’t seen in a long time.

She grew up in a beachfront community not far from us & wanted us to to take a drive there to see the house where she grew up. We pulled up in front of the house and she got out to take some pictures & decided to ring the bell and see if anyone might be home.

The owner was indeed there, a truly lovely woman who had bought the home from my friend’s parents almost 50 years ago. She invited my friend in & showed her all around the house. They were in there quite some time & when they came out my friend introduced us to her.

She was so warm & gracious, it was like talking to an old friend, and as we were parting she told me to drop by if we ever found ourselves back in her area again. We all hugged her and the trip down memory lane meant the world to my friend who had spent the last few years caretaking her husband.

The kindness o& a stranger who became a friend. ❤️

Such a warm and welcoming thing to do……….it certainly is a home and not a house when you can do this. Glad your day went so beautifully x
