Chocolate, The Universal Thank You

--by gardengal10, posted Feb 9, 2025
One evening last week as I was driving home, the "dreaded" Tire Pressure Maintenance System light appeared. It usually means one of two things: low tire pressure or one of the tire sensors has gone bad. The outdoor temperature was below freezing, so I hoped it was simply tire pressure. The next morning I drove to the tire shop when it opened. As they were working on other cars that had appointments, my car went to the bottom of the list. I decided to get my steps in and I walked home. As it turned out, it really was a tire sensor that had gone bad. When I walked back after the work was completed, I stopped at a store to purchase 2 large bags of Ghirardelli chocolates. One for the automotive staff as this is not the first time that I've come without an appointment . They are so accommodating! The other bag was for the library staff, my next stop. I generally know what book titles I want to read. I go on-line and reserve the book(s) instead of perusing the stacks. I wait for notification and then go to pick up my books. While I do thank the staff, every once in awhile a chocolate treat is in order and this was one of those times. It's a win-win for all.
