Making Connections

--by Helenconnell2, posted Jul 12, 2025
Today is a holiday in the UK. I went shopping first thing and had a lovely chat with the lady at the till - it's great to make connections. On my way home a man was outside his house and we had a good chat. After lunch, I was feeling a little unsure and decided to ring the telephone line for older people. I was surprised because I got through straightaway. The phone was answered by Suzanne and we had a great chat - I told her about my knitting projects and she told me how her mother knitted. I'm glad I was able to speak to her!

I have done hats for the homeless (a long time ago) mitred square blankets for our local nursing home, both projects were great for using up some of the small amounts in my stash.
