Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Still Here And Still Contributing One Act Of Kindness At A Time :)

Very excited to announce this one: for the past 15 months I have helped beta test the United24 app, released late last week by the government of Ukraine! This app is a ground-breaking innovation, and allows donors from all over the world to contribute directly to several specific drone units that are stationed near the front line. This project was a blast to contribute towards, and it brought together myself and many other like-minded individuals from all over the world. More information can be found here: https://u24.gov.ua/app

Helped my friend, i, with funds for his brigade in Ukraine as their vehicles badly needed repairs. Spread the word amongst several outlets to drum up more support for those brave heroes.

On a drive through a busy shopping plaza my wife stopped the car to let a family with small children cross the street. The smaller child lost a shoe in the middle of the road but didn't notice. I told my wife to wait here, jumped out, ran over to the shoe, and returned it to the parents (my toddler also loses a shoe in the middle of the road sometimes, imagine that lol) and they were most appreciative. In thick accents they showered me with many a "thank you" and I smiled and bid them a good evening.

I started baking my own sourdough in the spring, and currently have two loaves in the oven, taking one to a neighbor later this evening once it's done baking :)

Helped a colleague with some practice over the phone, so she can speak more confidently. Taking this practice idea with another doctor to the leader of the group from whom we all take similar classes, and hoping this "buddy system" will take off so more doctors are better encouraged and empowered :)

Attended my first football match (the real kind, not the American egg-ball kind haha) earlier this month and wore my Ukrainian flag into the game. The game was nationally and internationally televised, and at several times the flag was on the broadcast. Taking opportunities like that to remind folks that Ukraine is still fighting every day for her freedom, safety, and future. Слава Україні -- Героям слава!
